Labor Day Weekend – onward to fall
Labor Day weekend was a bittersweet few days at NIGHT LIGHTS at The Heron. We were super pumped to know that Rusted Root’s percussionist and acclaimed music instructor, Jim Donovan was hosting a three-day Rhythm Revival workshop. The Heron was abuzz with drum and dance classes and performances dedicated to spiritual renewal. There was magic in the air…you could just feel it. On Friday night, we had a great group of visitors from the Learning Disabilities Association of WNY. The group received a tour of the The Heron farm before embarking on a walk through NIGHT LIGHTS. Then the rains came late Friday night and came at us throughout the day on Saturday.
The only consulation about canceling NIGHT LIGHTS on Saturday night was that we were able to attend the performances from Rhythm Revival. NIGHT LIGHTS was open on Sunday night, with many families coming out…we had two different groups from the Rochester-area, Buffalo, Olean and Edinboro, PA.
