Friday, September 11, 2009 - From Julie Rockcastle of owner of The Heron: This fine weather has made the shiitake logs very happy and we have almost 30 pounds to bring to market this week. Please tell you friends, neighbors and favorite chefs that this is the week to come to the Farmer Market at the Williamsville Mill this Saturday 8am-1pm and stock up. We’ll be offering a quantity price of $40/3 pounds. This is lot of mushrooms, but it’s really easy to freeze them whole and have a little saved away for this winter.
We’ll have whole chickens again, some eggs and various other things. See you at the Market!
