9/04/09 – A wonderful Labor Day weekend on tap at NIGHT LIGHTS

Cafe in the Woods will be the place to be this weekend
Friday, September 4, 2009 – What a weekend we have on tap at NIGHT LIGHTS at The Heron. It’s been a wacky summer, so we’re not quite ready to say we’re through with the season…heck, we still got more time to celebrate.
Tonight, we’ll be open at around 8:15 p.m. It’s definitely getting darker early…don’t forget to bring your flashlights. Also, say “hi!” to my sister Lisa who will be working the front gate. She’s a lot of fun!
Let’s give a shout out to the weather!!! All sun and no rain makes the NIGHT LIGHTS peeps very, very happy!!!
On Saturday night we got WNY paranormal expert and author Mason Winfield who will be telling WNY and forest-related stories at the Cafe in the Woods – 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This is a BYOB event. Mason is a manificent story teller and conducts ghost walks all over New York State, including Buffalo, East Aurora, Saratoga Springs and more.
Sunday night we are going to have a community drum circle. Feel free to bring your drums, or use a few of the extras that we will have laying around. If you’ve never participated in a drum circle before, join us…don’t be shy. It’s easy and fun. The drummers from the Blue Heron Percussion Experiment will be onhand to lead the group. Can’t wait for that too!
There will be camping available this weekend – $10 a head. 3:00 p.m. check in. Come on out now, ya here!
