8/22/09 – Friends on a Friday night

Mesu and NIGHT LIGHTS 004

Saturday, August 22, 2009 – It was finally Friday and the beginning of another Friday and Saturday run of NIGHT LIGHTS at The Heron.  After a muggy week, and a thunderous Thursday night, the weather was perfect on Friday night for some visitors. Mark & Beth and a little one from Panama stopped by…never been to the Heron before, despite living so close. Blue Heron volunteer extraordinaire John Ross stopped by with Jake and Josh. And a crew from Lackawanna, NY stopped over tonight with some little ones. Nice folks.

As I was turning off the lights last night and was walking up the hill past the stage – I saw a shooting star over the Southwest sky.  Seeing a shooting star sort of takes your breath away for a second, and also captures your imagination. It was cool moment.  Anything is possible at The Heron.
