7/29/09 – “Nightswimming, deserves a quiet night”

Randy on the way to Pittsburgh
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 – We’re temporarily hanging out inside dogging the rain drops. We have that most excellent CD “Oracular Spectacular” by MGMT playing, so not all is too bad. Despite the rain, we’re humming along out here at The Heron.

Night swim in the Heron pond
Randy and I made a run to Pittsburgh yesterday a.m. to pick up a bunch of LED lights. It was a quick but functional trip. Sounds like we have a few musicians who are going to pick away at the Café on Friday night – can’t wait. It’s all in honor of SkiGirl Kristine, who will be celebrating her birthday here on Friday night. We then came back and got a bunch of stuff done. After a long day, I went for a late-night dip in the pond…with the stars shining over the Sherman countryside and a half-crescent moon hanging in the west, it was heaven.

New staff shirts
Oh yeah, other exciting stuff…we got our NIGHT LIGHTS staff shirts today – how cool is that? We’ll, it’s cool to us. We want our guests to be able to indentify our staffers throughout the woods in case they have any questions. We are still in love with our logo, designed by Mr. Matt Steinberg of Quackenstein Design. He’s the Manny Ramirez of graphic design.
