Sunday, July 26, 2009 – We packed a lot into 24 hours. It began on Saturday morning with Anna and I going to see the “Ghosthunter” guys speak at Lily Dale. With NIGHT LIGHTS needing to be built and deadlines looming, we were kicking back hearing ghostly stories with about 800 other people. We actually ran into the “Ghosthunter” guys on a side street and got to shake their hands as they were jumping onto a golf cart. It was our intention to catch Gretchen Clark at the stump, but we had to go…we now felt that we had to kick it up a notch.

However, The Heron would have to wait as we stopped in Fredonia and had lunch at the Ellicottville Brew Pub. In a pleasant surprise, we ran into long-time GBH volunteer-extraordinaire, Andy White, who introduced us to his funky little shop called Wishberry, on downtown Fredonia’s main street. It was an act of providence, as we found two tapestries that we had been wanting for NIGHT LIGHTS. Cool! We then headed up to Merritt Estate winery for some Chautauqua County wine for our friends and family. It’s cool to support your local winery!

We eventually made it to The Heron where we were joined by Randy (my bro) and Frewsburg legend- Mr. JD Bova. These two gentlemen infused life into the NIGHT LIGHTS crew and we can out swinging. I don’t want to give away all our secrets, but we were working on installations called…The Red Forest and Light Tunnel…let your imagination fly.  Today, Randy and JD did all sorts of stuff!  Trail work was being done, the bathroom was getting a little bling, and Ms. Anna is still scared by spiders. Anyways, despite the rain, NIGHT LIGHTS is on schedule. Friday night baby!!!
