2010 EVENTS

 We are currently assembling a very exciting and artistic performance schedule for the 2010 season. We are open Friday and Saturday nights (and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend) during our ten-week run at The Heron. While not every night, we schedule a variety of performances by some creative folks. Check the news section for updates.

OPENING NIGHT: FRIDAY, JULY 30, 2010

Amanda Barton & Charity Nuse – 10:00 p.m.

Members of Big Leg Emma kick off the 2010 season of NIGHT LIGHTS at The Heron. Amanda Barton and Charity Nuse are part of the mighty musical engine that is Big Leg Emma. These lil’ ladies are so talented, their creativity cannot be contained in just one band. Amanda and Charity are involved in a variety of side projects…always performing and making us fall in love with everything they do. We expect to hear songs familiar to Big Leg Emma fans, as well as Amanda and Charity’s own selections. What a way to start the 2010 season! Holy smokes!

Queen City Sight and Sound 

Artistic collective from Buffalo, New York takes over NIGHT LIGHTS for an evening…expect an array of performance and artistic expression. 

Queen City Sight and Sound will curate a night of art, music and performance. The evening will feature three musical acts: Cirque Noir, Benny and the Ultra-Lites, and Sleeping Future. Visual and performing artists include; Spun Out Fire Productions, Andrea Brough, Matthew Charles Herrington, Davin Marrano and Melissa Tills. It will be fun!

Kids Night!

Starting at 7:30 p.m. children will receive a tractor wagon ride tour of the organic farm operations. A tour of the gardens will also take place. Then when it is dark enough, children can explore the NIGHT LIGHTS trail, where they can engage in a scavenger hunt, as well as some fun take home crafts at the Cafe in the Woods. Children 12 to 5 are $5.

John & Mary

 John Lombardo and Mary Ramsey hail from the successful alternative rock band, 10,000 Maniacs. Lombardo was a founding member of the band and plays occasional shows with the group, now in their 29th year.  Mary Ramsey continues her role as the singer and violinist in the band. Since 1990, the duo has recorded four full-length albums, and most often play with as John & Mary and The Valkyries.
